A group of researchers of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in United States have designed a bicycle that is able to move itself by using the excess of kinetic energy from its own wheel. This modern bike was unveiled this month at the COP15 Copenhagen Conference.

This creation was named by its designers as “The Copenhagen Wheel”. It is equipped with Bluetooth connection and it is possible to connect it to an iPhone in order to see a lot of information through an app: Speed, fitness information, traffic data, distances, and pollution warnings, among others. Some people have also called this creation “Bike 2.0″; definitely, it is a very appropriate name from a cybernetic point of view, especially because it could be considered as an “online” bike and even you can share some data with your friends via social networks.

“The Wheel uses a technology similar to the KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System), which has radically changed Formula One racing over the past couple of years. When you brake, your kinetic energy is recuperated by an electric motor and then stored by batteries within the wheel, so that you can have it back to you when you need it,” says Carlo Ratti, director of the MIT SENSEable City Laboratory.

I think this is a great way to promote cycling, especially in cities. A great gadget/invention that I hope is explained to the public, so they can see how amazing it is.

Samsung's New Ultra Ultra Ultra Slim TV





Samsung's LED LCD televisions are here and the flagship C9000 is a doozy. It's the only one they're calling "ultra thin", has 3D support in late 2010 and a touch remote that shows you content from other video sources!

The thinness (it's as skinny as a pencil) is achieved by shoving lots of guts into the pedestal, which doubles as a wall mount. The set can convert 2D content into 3D, although I'm sure of dubious quality. The remote looks rather Apple-ish in UI, but it can show you, as I said before, content from other sources, like live TV while watching a Blu-ray on the big screen. It has 240Hz tech, which we've never noticed as important in image quality, but it's there (needed for 3D). No word on sizes or prices, yet. There's Samsung app support, but platforms like these are never really well supported. The frame is very shiny.

There have been constant rumors, speculations and reports of an Apple Tablet, Giant iPhone, iPad or whatever you want to call it. Searching through many different articles and posts on the web about this tablet, one can sense that it does exist, but there is no definite or confirmed release date.
So if this piece of technology really does exist and will go into sales, will it be worth the rumored 1000 $! Well just look at it, it looks incredible, yet so did the Macbook air and in my opinion and according to reviews many customers were unsatisfied and frustrated and its unreliability and its memory.
It really is too soon to tell if this whole idea is going to work, but I am so looking forward to it and I very much hope its worth buying.

I have seen many extravagant, insane and ridiculous concept cars from many manufacturers, but BMW's concept car "GINA" beats them all by mile.
The GINA Light Visionary Model presents features such as a virtually seamless outer skin made of a textile fabric that stretches across a moveable substructure. Functions are only offered if and when they are actually required. The drastic re-interpretation of familiar functionality and structure means that drivers have a completely new experience when they handle their car. Reducing the car to its essentials and adapting it to the driver's requirements enhances the car's emotional impact and achieves a crucial objective of the GINA philosophy. This type of innovation and creativity is crazy. This car has a human attribute as its outer-skin can mold to different shapes an sizes. Is this car the future? Is this a new era of design?

Finger Touching Phone Concept Gives You Touchtone Knuckles

The Finger Touching Phone is a whole new level of mobile technology, Granted you'd look dorky talking into your hand, hologram buttons or not, but this has to be the 'have to have gadget'.








The idea is that the
phone's keypad is projected onto your hand and the "buttons" separated by knuckles. Once you dial, you would hold your hand to your head and form the "call me" pose. It's a neat concept, but somehow it just wouldn't fit into people day to day lives, its just a bit too weird, but no doubt, very very cool.
